We are the UK's largest consumer redress scheme for letting agents
Our role is to provide an impartial service that considers consumer complaints about a variety of property related issues.
All estate agents dealing with residential properties in the UK, and all letting agents or property managers in England and Wales, are required by law to belong to a redress scheme.
The Property Redress Scheme is one of the two government approved schemes.
Our role is to provide an impartial service that considers consumer complaints about a variety of property related issues that they cannot resolve directly with their agent.
If at any point the consumer feels the service from one of our members has fallen short of what is expected, they are able to raise a complaint with us.
We also provide redress for other property professionals, and we offer dedicated tenancy mediation through the Property Redress Scheme Tenancy Mediation Service.
This is an interactive way of helping to resolve tenancy disputes between landlords and tenants with the help of a professional mediator who won’t take sides.
We aim to find solutions that work for both landlords and tenants without the need to go to court, saving time, money and stress.
We are committed to providing an independent and impartial resolution service.
We aim to help everyone understand their position in relation to the problem raised by sharing our knowledge to reach a fair and reasonable outcome for both parties, quickly and efficiently.
We believe in delivering expert customer service and raising standards in our specialist sectors.
Investigate fairly and listen to both sides, once the member has had the opportunity to resolve the complaint directly with their agent
Explain things clearly and let all parties know where they stand, always aiming to negotiate an early resolution
Give people our decision as quickly as possible where early resolution is unsuccessful
Always meet people’s communication and accessibility needs
All agents can join the Property Redress Scheme - it is a simple and straightforward process. Simply complete the application form here and pay the appropriate annual subscription fee. Contact the team on 0333 321 9418 or email info@theprs.co.uk.
